Los Nevados National Natural Park

in this blog we will talk about the national park's natural snow

The Los Nevados National Natural Park is located in the Central Cordillera in the Andean region of the Andes in Colombia
Its surface is part of the departments of Caldas, Risaralda, Quindio and Tolima, being divided between the municipalities of Villamaría, Santa Rosa de Cabal, Pereira, Salento, Villa Hermosa, Anzoátegui, Santa Isabel, Murillo and Ibague.
The park includes thermal layers corresponding to the cold, moor, superpáramo and perpetual snow, so their main ecosystems are the Andean forests, deserts and glaciers. It also includes the watersheds of many rivers, such as the River Otún Totarito River, Mills River, river Azufrado, Lagunillas river, river and river Campoalegre Guali, among others.
Before entering the park you can see the black lagoon. In the park are located: the Nevado del Ruiz, Nevado del Tolima, Nevado de Santa Isabel, Nevado el Cisne, Nevado del Quindío, Valle Lunar Otún Laguna Verde and Laguna, among other sites interest. In recent years, these glaciers have been hard hit by the effects of global warming in 2007, the Ingeominas, warned about the alleged melting of polar ice from the glaciers of this park. As proof of this was the disappearance of the cathedrals of ice, which was a huge cave at the bottom of the ice cap of Nevado del Ruiz, which existed even before 1995 and they used to be frequented by climbers and tourists.
